Tammy has worked as a nurse, public health employee, food scientist, and health inspector.  In 2004, upon the urging of God, she started a jobs program at Eugene Christian Fellowship. Many of the people who participated were from the work release program at the jail. They were almost all addicts and were afraid to be released because they didn’t have a healthy place or healthy support system in which they could change their lives. Their stories almost always included being raised in a drug addicted family. Her heart cried out to the Lord for a program that could fill this enormous gap and break the generational cycle of addiction and abuse. Ashes to Beauty emerged from His desire in her heart and is a discipleship program for women that have been involved in domestic violence, sex trafficking, and substance abuse. It is aimed at helping women with the type of complete transformation that is needed to turn their lives around. Ashes to Beauty opened in February 2011 and has seen unbelievable miracles ushered in by the Presence of God.
